About Me

Hi, I’m Phoenix, a Studio Art major and Education Minor at Denison University! I grew up in Hiram, Maine, and was actually homeschooled until the 5th grade. I spent most of my time growing up outdoors, and nature still holds a very special place in my daily routines, and my art. I creates artworks that explore themes of storytelling and worldbuilding through drawing, and exploring creating realities as a way to understand what’s happening in the world around me as I grow up and travel. My city illustrations are inspired heavily from his time travelling to cities such as New York, Chicago, and Seoul, and the contrast between them and my time growing up in the countryside. My art focuses on themes of finding a sense of individuality in such a busy and technological advanced world.
